Self-deception, fears, anger, grief, loss and shame – feelings and wounds that men are generally reluctant to face. Where should they do so? Marked Men for Christ offers a safe space in a so-called Phase 1 experience, where men embark on a journey from their heads to their hearts in 44 hours over a weekend.
In a challenging community of men, they work on these issues and open themselves to the healing power of Jesus Christ. Encouraged and equipped with a personal mission for their respective lives, the participants can then start afresh as stronger men for Jesus Christ, freed from some of their burdens and with a new focus.
The interdenominational ministry is based on two Bible verses: "Now it is God who makes us and you stand firm in Christ, and he has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is coming. (2 Corinthians 1:21-22) and: ‘As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another’ (Proverbs 27:17).
